Christian
We confess the Christian faith summarized in the ancient creeds (Nicea, Chalcedon).
Evangelical
We believe in the good news that God rescues people from sin by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is entirely the gift of God. The inerrant and infallible Holy Scriptures are the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
Reformed
We believe that our confessional documents, the Westminster Standards, are a faithful summary of the Bible’s teaching. They have a high view of God, Christ, the Bible, the created world, the church and the sacraments, and a low view of humanity in its fallen condition. These standards are subordinate to the Bible.
The Reformed faith is one of the three main branches of the Protestant Reformation.
Presbyterian
This word refers to the specific way the church is governed. It comes from the Greek word – presbuteros – which means “elder”. Presbyterian refers to the form of church government which has the plurality of elders, both at the local and at the regional level, as its distinctive feature. Multiple presbyterian congregations form one church.
